Toby Stephens In "Heroes of The Wild West"

For all you Toby Fans, here are the scans of the listings magazines of Toby in full on Western mode. Enjoy!

First the RadioTimes article on the production, I love how Toby gets the biggest blurb on his character (as well he should!):

This is the listing for the show in the RadioTimes:

And this is Toby eloquently (and humourously) discussing the foibles of his horse:

And finally, this is what the TVTimes had to say about the show, though it is not clear if that is the same horse that had to be sedated:

Edited to make the pictures actually open in a new window (duh!)

Thanks Penny! Toby surely is a chunk of hunk, n'est ce pas? He looks awesome on a horse, methinks. He could scoop me onto the back of his trusty steed and ride off with me into the sunset any day of the week without any struggle on my part whatsoever. Sigh.

And for the time being he seems destined to get "wild and straggly hair" parts. I love that little tache thingy he's got going there.

:)

Hey! If anyone's getting scooped onto the back of horse with Toby, it's ME! Lol.

He does look very nice on horseback though doesn't he.

I don't know what Toby's doing next, looking at the IMDB, "Marathon" is listed, but I know that that film started to cast in 2004 (when Toby was playing Hamlet), so heaven knows when that'll come to pass. Maybe he'll do some theatre next...:)

Ppfftt, Penny, I might just have to settle for Damian Lewis then, so hand off him if I'm conceding you Toby (only with huge reluctance, please note).

I just hope the "Ginger Ninja" (as Damian is apparently sometimes known) looks as good on a horse ...........

Hu lsucntrygrl,

Thanks for the comment. Glad you like the blog. If I were you, I'd keep an eye on BBC America for any Toby sightings.

Penny.

Hi Fi,

Has Damian never been pictured riding a horse? I'll have do to a quick search...

I have to confess, I do have a thing for redheads, Damian, Toby, erm Avid Merrion.... What! It's the freckles. Help me.

Wow, you British gals are soooo lucky to have gorgeous, funny, witty guys living in the Isles who can actually string together coherent, eloquent sentences. Toby's description of his travails on his unruly horse while filming the Custer documentary had me laughing so hard. He's sexy and smart. I'm moving to London!

Thanks Penny for the post!

Ah yes, redheads, redheads, what would we do without them?

The other one who floats my boat (at least I think he qualifies as a redhead) is the lovely, gorgeous, woof woof, howl at the moon comedy impressionist - Jon Culshaw!

I even loved him when he was making a right twot of himself on Celebrity Fame Academy in 2005, lol! He absolutely massacred "From Russia with Love" (poor Matt Munro must have been spinning in his grave) and other well known songs, but NOT EVEN that could put me off him. Funny men are such a turn on, aren't they?

I think I must go out for some fresh air now...........

Hi Anonymous,

Thank for the comment!

You might think that we're lucky having lots of witty guys running around, unfortunately none of them ever seem to run my way :(

Oh well, if you ever visit London, you'll have a great time, with or without a fella in tow.

Kind regards,

Penny

Fi,

Jon Culshaw, is he a redhead? I'm sure you love "Dead Ringers" then. I like that. Jon is normally the one with the best impressions, I do like his Tom Baker!

And he's in a spoof/satire of Question Time soon, he's playing David Dimbleby.

If I spent my time listing every guy who's I find attractive, I'll be here for ever!!! Which would get boring:)

Thanks for posting these articles online. I worked on this production so I've been looking for news articles about it for the past several months!

Hi J,

Thanks for your comment!

I'd like to think that you were one of those extravagantly bearded extras, but that's probably not the case. Anyway, you did a great job on the show and I'm glad you found a few articles about the it.

Kind regards,

Penny

Ummmm my first love was a red head, I was 9 years old, so I too have had a thing for the freckles ever since. I feel your pain. There just aren't that many of them around.

I have to say, I possess a sweet and handsome boyfriend, the best I've ever had, but nonetheless I find myself with this inexplicable crush on an actor I never even knew existed 3 months ago.....(I’m in the U.S. , and I don’t go to Bond movies as a general rule)

My conclusion is that I must be suffering from seasonal affective disorder.

Either that or that I have just found a replacement for my last crush who was Chris Cornell from Soundgarden. and that pretty much ended when he cut off his lovely locks and started with this Audioslave fiasco.

So now that I’m on the Toby team, I might have to visit my sibling in London and then go stalk his house.

Hi acrossthepond,

Thank you for your comment.

I get weird inexplicable crushes also, and I mostly get them on the weirdest people. I usually keep them to myself, because otherwise people would think me weird. Well, I am, but it doesn't do to advertise it.

I think Chris Cornell is entirely crushable, he's too dark for me though and I don't like that spiky hair look he's got at the moment.

My current just simmering crush is Dougie Henshall, yes, another freckly redhead. But a redhead with a scottish accent. Yum.

Penny :)
