Ruth Wilson Interview On BBC Breakfast

Hope you enjoy this video of Ruth On BBC Breakfast this morning. I had to snip out the clips of the programme to make the video fit on YouTube!

Penny,
You are a treasure trove of JE related information, thanks for this!

By the way, don't you just love the on set interviews with Ruth, Toby, Susanna and Sandy in the DVD extras? NH

Hi Penny,

Thanks for the clip! Ruth Wilson looks and sounds so different in her "real" life but it goes to show how convincing and talented she was in portraying Jane Eyre.

Ok, as this is a public forum, and any first step in recovery is the public admission (even though I'm anonymous ;-)!) of one's problem, I have to own that I've been secretly addicted to watching Jane Eyre on YouTube while waiting in agony for my DVD to arrive from Amazon (US) at the end of February. I fear I'm going to be fired from my job if this keeps up!

Oh, and it doesn't help that tomorrow is Valentine's Day and there's not anything close to a Mr. Rochester in sight. Sigh..

By the way, still loving your posts, bad for my addiction as they are.

Cheers!

M

Hi M,

Glad you like my meagre blog and I totally understand about JE fixation. I hope you get your DVD speedily. And I can spend hours on Youtube, I look at my watch and an hour has just been eaten in 3 minute chunks!

And I am in exactly the same situation as you regards Valentines Day. But then again, I have a feeling that Mr. Rochester wouldn't have any thing to do with Valentine's anyway. He'd probably just shower Jane with gifts on random days. Which I think is probably more romantic...

Kind regards,

Penny.

p.s You've taken the first steps to rehabilitation with your courageous confession in your comment. But ask yourself, do you really want to be cured of JE fixationitus?

Hey NH,

I haven't watched all the DVD extras yet, I'm saving them for the weekend, when I will have more time!

Is it just me, or is anyone else totally fascinated by Ruth Wilson's "nike" eyebrows? They're real works of art, aren't they? They are so well done, I find myself just watching them and not really listening to the interview at all! Wish I could get mine to go like that!

Hi fi,

Yes Ruth's eyebrows are impressive aren't they. My shaggy monstrosities aren't a patch!

Ruth Wilson has in common with David Suchet(Poirot) since they both read the novels to prepare for their respective roles.

Fellow Jane Eyre obsessives:

I have got over my obsession with Ruth Wilson's beautifully shaped eyebrows and have instead developed a massive crush on Charlie Stayt (he's the goodlooking bloke interviewing her). If I was just a few years younger, I'd want to marry him and have his babies, lol.

Just thought I'd share that with you, in case anyone was worried by the eyebrows thingie.

I know this is a tad off topic and rambling, but (a) I have a terrible hangover and (b) its quiet here in work, so I'm ashamed to admit that I really do not have anything better to do for the time being.

;)

Hi Fi,

Charlie is quite good looking, but he doesn't do it for me. However I must admit to having a little crush on Bill Turnbull, also of BBC Breakfast. It started when he was on "Strictly Come Dancing" and he soldiered on despite having an ankle that looked like it had been stomped on by a rhino.

I hope your hangover is better, rehydrate and take it easy. A couple of paracetamol might make it better. And I wish I was similarly less busy at work, but they keep piling it on! I don't even have enough time to check my email and blog any more...:)

All the best,

Penny

so I just had to let you guys know that I was totally in a bad mood and then I read "Is it just me, or is anyone else totally fascinated by Ruth Wilson's "nike" eyebrows?" and it totally made my day! haha... it reminded me of when I was showing my friend a clip from "A Real Summer" and 2 minutes in she goes, "I'm sorry but her eyebrows are like razorblades" haha

I love Ruth Wilson though, she's amazing. :)
